STEP BY STEP

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival

Arrival and check-in at the accommodation.

Day 2. Forests and waters

Together with your mountain guide, you will start the route of La Chorrera and Las Charcas Verdes, one of the most beautiful to do in the Ambroz Valley area. You will enter the leafy oak forest, admire the beauty of the landscape, and reach the Chorrera waterfall, a waterfall with more than 15 meters high. You will continue to the Charcas Verdes, natural pools dug naturally by the water in the hard granite. You will taste a menu of local products before starting your ka-yak experience. Pedro will welcome you at the Baños Reservoir to observe together the varied vegetation that is on the slope of the Ambroz Valley.

Day 3. Magical trails

In the morning, you will live an exciting adventure on a bike tour from Hervás to Plasencia. An explosion of unforgettable landscapes. You will cross bridges and cross tunnels of the old railway line until you reach Plasencia. You will enjoy a delicious menu fusion of local products. In the afternoon, you will ride on horseback along a stretch of the Greenway of the Silver Route discovering the old railway station; you will admire chestnut trees, oak groves and cherry terraces until you reach Gargantilla, and enjoy a picnic with local products.

Day 4. Dehesa Extremadura in its purest form

With the help of Enrique, an expert biologist, you will live an environmental interpretation of an authentic Extremaduran pasture and the operation of an ecological livestock of cows and pigs. A unique experience in which you will know the maintenance work of the environment and you will observe cows of native breeds and Iberian pig in their natural state. In the middle of the morning, you can taste a careful selection of local cheeses and sausages from the area.

Day 5. Farewell

Before returning home, Dani, an expert biologist, will accompany you on a beautiful nature route through the surroundings of the charming village of Hervás. Through the landscape you will know the history of the place and you will observe livestock and silvicultural landscapes. From the Vía Verde you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the historic centre of Hervás, a spectacle.
