Bike ride down the Via de la Plata

Make with us the incredible descent of Béjar – Hervás – Plasencia. In it you can see the wonders of the Ambroz Valley when travelling the Vía Verde de la Plata, old route of the Seville-Gijón railway. During the tour you will find viewpoints and unique places, old railway tunnels, picnic areas with fountains to take a break and unbeatable views of the town of Hervás crowned by the Pinajarro peak.

What is it?

Our team takes you by van from Bicicletas Colmer in Hervás to the starting point in Béjar where you will start the descent by bike along the Vía Verde de la Plata to Hervás (24Km) or Plasencia (66Km). In the route you will walk through tunnels, magnificent forests, rivers, trenches, bridges, ravines, meadows, you will also pass through the old railway stations of: Béjar, Puerto de Béjar , Baños de Montemayor, Villar de Plasencia, Hervás, where you can get to know the town by taking a bike ride before delivering them in Bicicletas Colmer where we will be waiting for you to finish the experience (Short).

In the plane that we provide you at the exit of the Descent, you will have all the information, you can see that the Descent has about 8 km practically flat (from Béjar to Puerto de Béjar) and the rest to Hervás (24 km) is a very pleasant gentle descent, if you decide to make the longest descent to the city of Plasencia (66 km) the route continues very smoothly with a nice electric descent, which makes our activity very pleasant.

We make departures every day of the week from 9 am. The service includes the rental of bicycles, helmets, spare parts, map of the route and transfer to the point of departure and collection in arrival of our customers.

Approximate time of the tour: between 2:30 h Béjar -Hervás, 3 h Hervás-Plasencia and 4:30 h Bejar -Plasencia, you decide the rhythm.

Delivery schedule of bicycles in morning route until 14:30 h, and in afternoon route until 20:30 h.
