Santiago de Compostela is a spiritual city, where thousands of pilgrims walk every year; crossing rural villages, bridges and rivers, valleys and paths to reach its mythical cathedral of Obradoiro and embrace its holy apostle. It is the capital of Galicia and a good starting point for memorable experiences on every trip.

In this getaway you will know the seafaring tradition of the Galician rias, or Rías Baixas, where the best fish and seafood, collected in many traditional ways by the different associations of shellfish, pair with the Albariño wines of the land.

STEP BY STEP

Itinerary

Day 1

You will arrive in Santiago de Compostela with your rental car. In the afternoon, our friend Sandra will walk with you through the main streets of the historic centre, while she tells you about the curiosities and legends that hide this city, until you reach the Cathedral.

Day 2

On your route through the Rías Baixas, you will stop at the Lordly Peace that reigns Carmen. A classic 16th century Galician Palace where great Albariño wines are produced. Continuing south through the region of O Salnés you will arrive at O Grove, from where you will depart by catamaran to the rafts where the mussel is raised, the underwater vision will allow you to see how the mollusks are raised while you taste them on board.
