It is a spectacular route that crosses the mountains between Castilla y León and Extremadura, following the course of an old 19th century railway, crossing bridges, lush chestnut and oak forests, rivers and gorges, a very fun and safe experience, perfect for families and friends.
The Bicis Ambroz team will pick you up at their Hervás warehouse to take you to the departure point in the upper part of Béjar (or Puerto de Béjar if you prefer a shorter route).
There you will begin the descent through the Greenway of La Plata to your air, since it is a simple and safe route. You will pass through Béjar, and through the old stations of Puerto de Béjar , Baños de Montemayor and Hervás. Once the route is finished, we will wait for you in Hervás to pick up the bikes.
It is a route that crosses a unique landscape, crossing mountains and lush forests with a great biological variety. The layout of the railway changes its appearance at every season of the year, so you can do it at any time.
In addition, it is an easy route to make, perfect for families. The transfer to the departure point by Bicis Ambroz allows you to complete the tour with hardly any physical effort.
The variety of bikes, tricycles and accessories we offer makes it an inclusive route: for people with reduced mobility, the elderly, for those who do not ride a bike, for children of all ages and even pets.

'- The route of the textile factories in Béjar - The Jewish neighborhood of Hervás - You can enjoy and observe the fauna and flora within Protected Natural Spaces, as is 80% of the Ambroz Valley (belonging to the Natura 2000 Network) - You can make stops at the old train stations, some rehabilitated as bars, restaurants or hostels. - In Baños de Montemayor you have a spa with more than 2,000 years of history - Granadilla and Caparra are places of interest - Visit to the city of Plasencia
