The region of La Garrotxa, in the interior of Catalonia, is characterized by being an oasis of explosive nature that combines with an unbeatable gastronomy. In this unique getaway, we invite you to discover its Volcanic Zone, with numerous lava flows and more than 40 volcanoes, among which those of Santa Margarida, Montsacopa and Croscat, the youngest of the three, whose last eruption occurred 11,500 years ago.

You will visit its crater and the beech forest that surrounds it, walk through the Natural Park with our private host and enjoy a meal high in nature.

STEP BY STEP

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at your rural accommodation in Olot and free time to enjoy its modernist and Renaissance heritage.

Day 2

In the early morning you will go to meet Ferran, our expert hiker, with whom you will enjoy a walk through the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa, visit the Croscat Volcano and the impressive forest of the Fageda de Jordá. For lunch, a pleasant selection of local products awaits us in the meadow, where we can taste the delicious local cuisine. Afternoon free for you to take advantage of to do some shopping in the villa, such as sausages, cheeses or crafts.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we propose you to make a route through the medieval villages that are in the area, such as Besalú, Castellfollit de la Roca, Santa Pau or El Valle de Bas.
