Dojran is a municipality on the western shore of Lake Dojran, in south-western North Macedonia. Today, its name is the union of two populations in a territory that was destroyed: Nov Dojran (New Dojran, settled from the end of World War I until World War II) and Star Dojran(Old Dojran).

A beautiful place to disconnect from the big cities, feel the peace of its beautiful Lake Dojran, learn about the history of North Macedonia, and the different cultures that have given character to this villa over the last centuries, and relax enjoying its fresh and tasty cuisine.

Would you like to experience a real summer festival spirit? Every July, Dojran welcomes the D-Festival, an outdoor musical event for all, offering 3 days of live music hosting local, regional and international artists from the music world.

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival

Check-in at the accommodation.

Day 2. Did you know…?

Alexander, our local host will show you the corners and secrets of the magical place of Dojran. Do you know the legend behind the Dojrana Monument? You will discover its history and many more. Together, you will visit the historic Church of St. Elias, built in 1848 on Star Dojran Hill with the voluntary contributions of believing citizens.
You will discover the history behind the representative Clock Tower and enjoy a relaxing and cultural walk on the shore of Lake Dojran, which will surprise you with its medicinal and healing properties. You will savor a delicious menu made up of fresh fish, caught the same day, straight from Lake Dojran to the restaurant. Time to relax before the first night of the D-Festival.

Day 3. Lake Dojran

Do you want to feel the medicinal properties that Lake Dojran offers? You will be closer than you ever imagined. You will enjoy with your friends and families a boat route on the Lake. You will have a unique experience navigating the third largest tectonic lake in Macedonia, after Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa. To make this day unforgettable, we recommend you stop at one of the Beach Club and relax taking a cocktail with the beautiful views of this very special lake. You will enjoy a menu of local products; fresh fish from Lake Dojran and traditional salads from the region. Time to burn dancing the D-Festival!

Day 4. Sun, fun and relax

Free morning to relax, visit the local fruit market in the centre of Dojran, approach the hills to discover the remains of Amman that is there and wrap yourself in the warmth of the citizens of DojRAN. Food included in a local restaurant where you will taste delicious salads and traditional Macedonian dishes. Make the last night of the D-Festival the most memorable night of your lives!
