Among vineyards by the Douro

Day 1

Arrive in Porto on your own. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Free time to settle in the hotel. In the afternoon, we will go out to discover Porto, its history and heritage. We will finish the day in one of the wineries of Vila Nova de Gaia, where we will taste the exquisite Port wine.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Then, we will be transferred to the Portuguese wine area, Peso da Régua, known for the production of Port wine. We will visit the Quinta da Pacheca, where we will enjoy a wine tasting of the Douro and Porto, and a meal in the restaurant of the Quinta. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue the journey through the wines of the area. The first stop will be at a reference winery in the Toro area. We will enjoy a walk among vineyards and a tasting of its wines D.O Toro. The experience will culminate with a gastronomic menu paired with wines from the house. Then, we will explore the Rueda Denomination of Origin with a visit to the first organic mill in Castilla y León, and a visit to a family winery to discover the varieties of the native grape, Verdejo. We will finish in Valladolid, where we will stay.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue discovering the Ribera del Duero area, with first stop in a family winery. Free lunch in Peñafiel. In the afternoon, we will tour one of the best known wineries in the area. We will return to Valladolid for a night visit of the city.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Next, we will visit a winery in the heart of the Ribera del Duero to learn about its winemaking process and enjoy a lunch with roasted lamb. We will continue to Aranda de Duero, where we will stay.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. We will explore Aranda de Duero, with visits to the church of Santa Maria, the wine interpretation centre, and an underground cellar. We will finish with a wine tasting in iconic winery before the return to Aranda de Duero. Accommodation.

Day 7

After breakfast and check-out, we will explore Segovia, visiting the Roman Aqueduct, the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Alcázar. We will have time to taste the suckling pig before continuing to Madrid.
