Extremadura 3 valleys

Day 1. Arrival in Extremadura

Arrival in Plasencia. Arrival at the accommodation and first walk through the city.

Day 2. Jerte Valley.

We will enjoy green landscapes, viewpoints and waterfalls and see the flowering of cherry trees. The views from the Mirador de El Torno or Las Nogaledas with its fantastic waterfalls will open our appetite to taste the gastronomy of the valley.

Day 3. Cheeses from Casar and Cáceres.

We will participate in a cheese workshop in Casar de Cáceres and eat at a local inn before continuing to CácerES, where Javier will guide us through squares and emblematic buildings such as the Palacio de Carvajal, the Concathedral and the Torre del Bujaco.

Day 4. Ambroz – Caparra Valley

We will walk along with Enrique through the holm oak and chestnut trees of the dehesa and taste freshly prepared products. We will get to know the Roman legacy of Granadilla and after lunch, we will relax in the Baños de Montemayor Spa.

Day 5. Trujillo and Guadalupe

In Trujillo we will approach the history and illustrious characters such as Francisco de Orellana, we will walk through the Palaces of the Pizarro and the Escobar and the Arab Alcazaba with its walled enclosure. Lunch at a local restaurant before arriving in Guadalupe and its Monastery linked to the natural resources of the environment, legends and passages of its history.

Day 6. Valle de la Vera

We will visit the Monastery of Yuste, last residence of Emperor Carlos V, we will continue to Villanueva de la Vera, declared an Artistic Site.

Day 7. Valle de la Vera in bloom

Between trails, “pools” and “chorreras” we will arrive at Jaraíz de la Vera, where we will eat and visit a traditional paprika shop.

Day 8. I’m going home.

After a good breakfast of local products, we will start our return home.
