An experience to remember

Join us on this unique itinerary through Castilla y León where you will feel that time has stood still. Charming rural villages, natural landscapes where you can breathe nature and the best local gastronomy will be the highlights of this trip.
We will travel to the past in Tordesillas, La Alberca,. Fermoselle and Puebla de Sanabria. We will walk through the pastures of Salamanca and discover why Toro wines are so appreciated. We will sail up the Douro River to Portugal. We will breathe nature in the Arribes National Park and through the most magical trails of Puebla de Sanabria. On our tour, we will get to know the most authentic Spain through our local hosts, who will welcome us to show us that it is possible to live without rushing and make us feel like a local.

STEP BY STEP

Itinerary

Day 1. First stop… Tordesillas

We will arrive in Tordesillas with enough time to leave our bags and go for a walk around the city with our hostess Teresa.

Day 2. Tasting the authentic, Guijuelo

They wait for us in an Iberian pig workshop to know the process of making our best product. Our route will continue to La Alberca to get to know the Villa and taste a typical meal. The sunset of La Alberca will be the best time to stop the time.

Day 3. Breathing nature, Arribes del Duero

Today we will visit the Arribes National Park with a cruise on the lake. Nearby, we will enjoy the local gastronomy in the tavern of Manuel, and in the afternoon a short hiking route to feel the magical sound of the forest with Javier.

Day 4. By the Douro, Fermoselle and Miranda do Douro

Today’s itinerary will take us to the village of Fermoselle, where we will get to know the town and eat in a tavern with a local atmosphere. Our tour will continue in the afternoon crossing the border of Portugal until we reach Mirando Do Douro. We will continue our route until we reach Zamora.

Day 5. Much more than wine, Toro

In Toro our friend Emilio is waiting for us to immerse ourselves in the local gastronomy and culture. We will visit a family winery and the Cheese Museum, eat at a local restaurant and then walk through the historic centre, its large basilica and taste local sweets in Sancti Petrus.

Day 6. Legends on the Lake and Puebla de Sanabria

Accompanied by Fernando, we will discover the legend that hides Lake Sanabria and enjoy the local cuisine before visiting Puebla de Sanabria, one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.

Day 7. Natural Heritage, Lake Sanabria

We will occupy the morning with a route through nature, next to a picnic of local products. In the afternoon we will walk through Zamora and its icons with our friend Eva.
