A Mariña Lucense, north of the province of Lugo, is one of the most unexplored and surprising places in Galicia. We will arrive directly to our charming accommodation in A Mariña Lucense. Our host will be waiting to welcome us. Depending on the schedule, we recommend a walk along the beaches of Foz or visit one of the two Biosphere Reserves of A Mariña Lucense.
After breakfast, we will approach the artisan neighborhood of Mondoñedo where Raúl is waiting to show us his workshop. We will take the visit to know the Cathedral of the Assumption and its historical buildings. We recommend that you enjoy the gastronomy of Mondoñedo. In the afternoon we will go down to the sea, to get to know the city of Burela and get closer to the Sargadelos Factory and its impressive modernist building.
Today we will dedicate the day to Ribadeo, we will start very early to live the descent of the tide in the Beach of As Catedrais. We are waiting for you in Javier’s tavern with a good breakfast to make up for the early morning. At noon take your fictional audio guides at the Tourist Office.
Fernando will be waiting for us at his Fra Shipyard in San Cibrao to talk to you about the culture of the sea and the shipbuilding industry in A Mariña Lucense. To eat, we recommend a good ration of octopus at one of the taverns in the centre of Viveiro. End of the escape.
