Upon arrival in Porto, we will have free time before lunch in a lovely restaurant overlooking the Duero. At the end of the meal, our host and local historian will pick us up to accompany us on a tour through the stories and legends of the city. We will know its beautiful streets and medieval churches. We will enjoy the sunset walking through the port area to enjoy the beauty of the typical boats with which it carried in wine from the remote and winding mountains of the Duero.

Day 2 - Guimarães

Today we will go to the historic city of Guimarães, known as “the cradle of the nation”, since it was here that the conquest of Portuguese territory began. Accompanied by our local host, we will tour the walled old town of the city, declared a cultural heritage by UNESCO. To eat, we will enjoy a tasting in one of its typical taverns set with live fado. In the afternoon, we will discover together the most important works of the Romanesque with Gregorian singing choirs, and we will visit the impressive Guimarães Castle, from where heroic battles were witnessed.

It will be 14 km quiet by perfectly paved and conditioned terrain so that we can enjoy our route without inconvenience. We will pass through the small villages of Aldão, Penha, Pasco Viera, Fareja, Cepaes and finally we will arrive at Fafe. We will have time to rest and enjoy the surroundings before dinner.
