Day 3 - Bilbao - Santander
After breakfast, we will continue our route towards Santander. We will do it along the coast, passing through marine towns such as Castro Urdiales and Laredo. We will visit an anchovy factory in Santoña and stop to eat in Noja. Upon arrival in Santander, and after check-in, our hostess Cristina will show you the city. After visiting the Magdalena Peninsula we will start a fantastic route of gastronomy and Cantabrian culture through which we will know the main buildings and anecdotes while enjoying the skewers and tapas of their best taverns. Today the Pasiegos Valleys await us with Mario, our local host. The Pas, Pisueña and Mieres rivers pass through these valleys, until recently they have been isolated from each other, they will transfer us in time to the most traditional and authentic of Cantabria. Day 5 - Santander - Asturias
Today we will leave the city of Santander to continue towards Asturias, the greenest area of the country. Our first stop will be Santillana de Mar, we will walk through its cobbled streets and visit the Altamira Museum and Neo-Cave, place where remains of Homo Sapiens were found almost 150 years ago, paintings dating back 14,500 years. Day 6 - Oviedo and the art of Cider
80% of the cider produced in our country is produced in Asturias, impossible to resist a bit of fresh cider. In the morning we will visit a family winery where we will grant its elaboration process, we will learn to pour it out and taste it with some cheeses from the area. In the afternoon we will visit the city of Oviedo, there our host Roberto will take us on a walk through the corners of the city, such as the “Carbayón”, the Old University, the sculptures of La Maternidad and the Asturcones and the Cathedral of San Salvador. Day 7 - Asturias - Ribadeo
Continuing along the north we will reach Cudillero, a charming fishing village with narrow streets with the imposing Palacio Quinta de Selgas or the Vindio Lighthouse. Day 8 - A Coruña - Santiago de Compostela
Our route arrives in Santiago de Compostela, which receives thousands of pilgrims every year eager to get their precious Compostela. After breakfast we will go to Cambados to enjoy its heritage or its stately homes. Arriving in Sanxenxo, we will enjoy a route through Portonovo and its fishing port.
