The Berrea in Sierra de Albarracín
After the summer, when temperatures drop, the evenings become shorter and the first rains arrive, the deer of the Sierra de Albarracín go into rut. A deep bellow is emitted by the deer to dominate their territory and prevent anyone from approaching their females. This sound envelops the forest and it is possible to observe, in broad daylight, the fights between the deer, in which they clash their antlers trying to dislodge their adversary. This is undoubtedly one of the most magical natural spectacles that can be observed in the Sierra de Albarracín. It is an accessible and suitable activity for children, in which they will learn some curiosities of these noisy animals. Pamper yourself with nature in a rural, different and very enriching weekend.
