You will live 10 days and 9 nights, where you will visit mainly the south of Anoia and the north of Penedès.
What better combination than flavors and textures, the sweetness of cheese and the acidity of wine? With La Merced, you will live a unique moment full of sensations that will surely not leave you indifferent. You will learn about the natural cycle of the vineyards, what is organic agriculture, the grape selection process, the machinery used in this process and the importance of entering the grapes by gravity. You will enter the winery to understand how the wines are made and you will finish with a tasty tasting of three wines and three cheeses.
Dani will join you to show you the wine tradition of the Pla de Morei territory. You will connect with nature on a route that will dazzle you with its wonderful landscapes.
Our friend Èlia will welcome you to one of the most historic wineries in Anoia. You will live a unique and exclusive experience with a walk among the vineyards of the Puig Aguilera mountain, discovering paths and dry stone bars, as well as the ancient Sumoll vineyard, a native variety of black raisin. The excursion ends with a lunch in the countryside with local products, followed by a guided tour of the winery, with cava and wine tasting. You will indulge your palate in a local restaurant where you can taste the best meats on the grill, as well as fresh fish brought directly from the market to the table. You will have a unique sunset in a balloon traveling through the sky of Anoia with our friend Jordi. You will fall in love with its nature and landscapes from the heights, to finish with a taste of local products and cavas.
You cannot visit Anoia without stopping at the most peculiar and magical mountain in Catalonia: Montserrat. Frank, local nature expert guide, will accompany you on an unforgettable route. You will visit exterior urban elements, as well as its imposing temple. On the way back, you will take the Sant Miquel path and climb to the top of the mountain, at 1236 meters, visiting the ruins of the ancient hermitages, some of them built in caves. After walking among the spectacular conglomerate pinnacles, you will return to the monastery.
Joan will open the doors of his house for you to enjoy an exclusive and intimate day. After seeing the wines, touring the cellars and learning the history of the winery, he will offer you a meal of elaborate cuisine, sharing a table and sharing an exclusive day with the owners. Later, you will have fun with a game of taste, creativity and talent. To elaborate a high quality cava, it is necessary to obtain a base wine, which after the second fermentation and aging, gives us the expected cava. With a sample and different wine profiles, you will elaborate your base wine proposal.
Together with Dani, you will travel through the town of Piera, a tour of modern and contemporary Piera during the last 400 years of the town’s history, concentrated in its rich monumental heritage that includes baroque and modern houses. Later, you will learn the secrets of olive oil in a tasting located in a family farmhouse.
During the next part of the trip, you will enter the wineries and vineyards of the Penedés. You will visit a winery that belongs to a family of winegrowers since 1385. An experience that starts at the winery and, walking through the vineyards, you will reach the Natural Site of Interest of Las Flandes: a rock amphitheater from the Miocene period with views of the Penedès valley and the mountains of Montserrat. In this idyllic space, you will visit the centuries-old dry stone huts. In the shade, you will taste a sparkling wine accompanied by an individual appetizer of the local gastronomy (cheese, Iberian ham and toasted bread). You will return through the vineyards to the winery, where you will finish with a farewell tasting.
Wine tourism can be practiced in many ways, do you dare to do a yoga session among vineyards? In this trip you will be able to practice yoga in a wonderful environment, in the middle of nature and surrounded by vineyards. You will start practicing yoga outdoors and among the vineyards. You will breathe and enjoy the environment, under the shade of the brambles… You will discover the history of the family winery and enjoy nature, a pleasant, fun and disconnecting day, ending with a glass of cava!
Your wine journey will continue with a visit to one of the 13 best wineries in Spain according to the Spanish Association of Wine Journalists and Writers (AEPEV). A total of 150 unique plots are the origin of all its wines. All of them organically grown and harvested by hand. You will visit the winery and relax in a hut among vineyards and olive trees. You will say goodbye to the Penedés activities with a unique experience: a cava tasting accompanied by chocolates. You will use all your senses and you will be carried away by an explosion of aromas, textures, flavors and colors.
You will finish this tasty trip with Dani, who will take you to the last village of Anoia before reaching the Penedés: La Llacuna. A place where agriculture, livestock and artisan production still play an important role. You will learn about the history of the place and taste the variety of products it offers such as cheeses, sausages and wines.
