On this trip you will learn about the origins of Anoia, you will travel through its history up to the present day and discover the legends and customs best kept by its people. Accompanied by the local hosts, you will immerse yourself in the spectacular nature of the territory with a historical route through its splendid nature. You will visit a family winery where you will learn all about wine making and taste its delicious products.



You will spend 7 days and 6 nights where you will mainly visit the south of Anoia with 2 visits to the north.




You will observe the stars surrounded by spectacular nature, you will visit the musealised facilities of what was once the training camp of the XVIII Corps of the People’s Republican Army, which will take you back in time. You will discover the history of an old Paper Mill from the 18th century, a traditional industry of the area, you will visit the natural and archaeological heritage of the area, preserved in an exceptional way. With Dani and Laura, you will visit the ruins of the mystical castle of Jorba with views of the landscape that will leave you speechless. Accompanied by our friend Èlia, you will also have the opportunity to visit a family winery of cavas with more than 8 centuries of tradition, where you will taste two of its delicious products.



A trip during which you will enjoy the nature, the heritage and the local people of Anoia.

Tour Plan


DAY 1: Arrival at Jorba

Arrival and check-in at the accommodation. Available from 15h.

DAY 2: Igualada and Òdena

In the morning, discover the millenary origins of the city of Igualada and walk along its walls, while you discover the main heritage elements of the old town. In the afternoon, learn about the history of Finca Can Macià and the process of making Bohigas cava. Includes tasting of two products.

DAY 3: Pujalt

In the morning, guided visit to the Popular Army’s Memorial where you will see the interpretation centre, audio-visual material and the reconstructed training base. Lunch at Masia La Figuera Restaurant. In the afternoon, solar observation and a journey through the universe at the Pujalt Astronomical Observatory.

DAY 4: Prats del Rei

In the morning, enjoy Sikkarra, through a historical trek. You will find the remains of the old city wall, in the town centre, from the 5th century BC and the famous Tower of La Manresana, witness to the last victory of the Asturian troops against the Bourbon troops before the fall of Barcelona and Cardona.

DAY 5: Capellades

In the morning, visit to the Paper Mill Museum in Capellades. You will get to know the history of paper: its origins, the manufacturing and industrial work, and the paper mills in Catalonia. In the afternoon, visit to the Abric Romaní archaeological site to find out how our Neanderthal ancestors lived between 100,000 and 70,000 years ago.

DAY 6: Jorba

Visit the castle of Jorba and learn about its stories and protagonists, strong, brave and daring women who consolidated and maintained the Barony of Jorba. It would become a key piece for the control of the Basin of Òdena but also a privileged platform for the expansion, towards the south and the west, of the Border.

DAY: Returning home
