The traditional cuisine of Extremadura is simple, but uses excellent local products. Many of the typical dishes are based on  the resources offered by nature in every season.

Each region and each town, have reflected their own identity in their gastronomy, but they all have the same roots. In this region, so extensive and so diverse, we will have the possibility of visiting cheese workshops, olive oil mills and tasting a rich and delicious honey.

In the pasture of Extremadura, we will learn about the breeding of the Iberian pig in montanera and fed with acorn. Enjoy with us an Extremaduran gastronomy of simple elaboration, based on extraordinary  products with derivatives of the Iberian pig, lamb, cheese and cakes, paprika from La Vera, always watered with good wines.

DAY 1 - Badajoz

Arrival in Badajoz. Time to rest before visiting the city with our local host. Dinner in a traditional tavern

DAY 2 - Badajoz

After breakfast, we will discover the world of the dehesa, its breeding model in montanera, the curing and, of course, we will taste their iberian ham products and have lunch in the same farm.

DAY 3 - Gastronomy and the Tajo river

Today will be dedicated to nature. We will go to the international Tajo and navigate through its waters. From there, we will visit a goat cheese workshop, where, in addition to tasting their products, they will tell us about the elaboration process. We will have lunch at a nearby restaurant. Free time in the afternoon.

DAY 4 - Wine cellar

In the morning we will go to an olive oil mill and in the afternoon to a family winery of exceptional wines. Dinner will be based on a tasting of local products.

DAY 5 - End of the itinerary

Before returning home, we will have time to make some purchases of our favorite products of Extremadura in Badajoz.
